Juan Garoz
Juan Garoz has joined Book&Learn as Marketing Manager. With six years of experience in international education behind him, Juan has worked at Eurolingua Study as a Partner and Marketing Manager, where he was the lead on opening new branches in Spain and Mexico, developed an internal CRM Platform, managed sales and marketing departments, and also projects with key partners. He holds an advertising, marketing and public relations degree from Kings Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Spain, and studied English at EC Cape Town, South Africa. Juan looks forward to working with agents and schools more closely, creating a large education community, and improving the way the industry make business.

Michelle Oates
Michelle Oates has joined Anglolang as Director of Studies and Marketing Manager. She has over 12 years' experience in international language education and has driven the development of language schools and further/higher education institutions in Prague, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong and the UK. She holds a master's degree with distinction in TESOL and has TEFLQ status. Michelle has a wealth of management experience and a passion for communication enhancement and has been spoken at international conferences in the areas of CLIL, Corpus Linguistics and Critical Discourse Analysis. She is looking forward to utilising her experience and taking a personalised approach in her new role.

Rachel Lindsey
Rachel Lindsey has joined Languages Canada as Director of International Affairs and Operations. With 15 years of experience in international education behind her, Rachel was most recently working at Universities Canada as Senior Analyst, where she was the lead on strategic international partnerships and projects in key markets such as Brazil, Mexico and India. She has worked closely with Languages Canada over the past four years striving to align the internationalisation efforts of Canada's language and university sectors in strategic partner countries. Rachel looks forward to working with Languages Canada members.

Janine Krause
Janine Krause has started at California Language Academy (CLA) in the USA as Director of Marketing and Head of Design. Originally from Magdeburg, Germany, Janine moved to Los Angeles in 2011 and became a student at CLA the following year. On completion of her studies, she interned as part of the administrative team and to continue improving her English. After a short while, she became Student Services Manager and worked in this role for four years before becoming Director of Marketing. "I love CLA, the students, the staff, and the owners," said Janine. "We are a family and it's an awesome school to be a part of."

Jacqueline Kassteen
Jacqueline Kassteen has launched her second company, FruitFame.com, enabling education professionals to showcase success stories that move the needle in marketing, recruitment, enrolment and retention. FruitFame is an independent platform for storytelling, offering a chance to take people behind the scenes and share a more personal, transparent and authentic story about how you achieved success. Jackie also runs Jackfruit Marketing, a consultancy, project management and training company, providing marketing expertise in the international education industry. She gives training sessions and interactive masterclasses, and is a regular plenary speaker. Having launched ICEF Monitor, Jackie has 15+ years of marketing experience in international education, student travel, publishing, lead generation, retail and financial services.

Jenny Rush

Jenny Rush has joined Eaquals as Communications Officer, with responsibility for developing and maintaining social media channels and digital communications. Jenny has several years' experience in the international language education industry, having previously worked in admissions, marketing and management for language schools and colleges in the UK and Canada. Formerly, she worked in communications and is now looking forward to combining these practical skills with her industry knowledge, which she hopes will be of benefit to the Eaquals team and Eaquals members.

Jim Birrell
Jim Birrell has joined The English Studio team as Commercial Director across both London and Dublin, with operational responsibility for the Holborn school. Jim started his career in experiential travel in 2002, stepping into his most recent post as Head of School at BSC London Hampstead in the spring of 2015. Following two accomplished years at the school, he will be moving within The Real Experience Group to take on this opportunity and drive The English Studio brand forward to see a continuation of its current success. Jim commented on his new role saying, "I am thrilled to be joining such a young, energetic and dynamic team! Student experience really is at the heart of this brand, a value that will guide some very exciting developments over the coming months, a great time for the brand and our community of students."

Jan Capper
Jan Capper will be taking up the position of Chief Executive of CUBO, the association of College and University Business Officers, after more than 20 years as Executive Director of International Association of Language Centres (IALC). She will be standing down from the helm of IALC on May 19, 2017. "IALC is a unique organisation and I shall miss it very much," Jan said. "It has been a pleasure and an honour to represent such outstanding language centres. I also feel privileged to have met so many extraordinary people across the study travel industry."

Scott Balaam
Scott Balaam has also joined Apollo Language Centre in Ireland as Young Learner Manager, with overall responsibility for the Apollo Young Learner Programmes for nine-to-17 year olds in Dublin and Cork. Scott is a language school specialist, having spent over 10 years working in the industry, both inside and outside the classroom, most recently as Operations Manager at Lewis School of English, UK, and Summer Centres Operations Manager at ATC Language Schools, Ireland. Scott said, "I am delighted to be part of Apollo Language Centre and keen to use my skill-set of experience and knowledge to ensure that our students have the best possible learner experience."

Liosa Casserly
Liosa Casserly has joined Apollo Language Centre in Ireland as Young Learner Co-Ordinator, with overall responsibility for the academic programme and progress of Apollo young learners in Dublin and Cork, as well as recruitment and continuing professional development (CPD) of young learner teachers. Prior to returning to Ireland in 2016, Liosa was the Academic Manager at Lewis School of English in the UK, where she oversaw the running of four young learner summer centres, as well as spending many years living and teaching English in Italy. Seán O'Donnell, Academic Director at Apollo, commented, "It's absolutely fantastic to have someone with so much insight and experience in young learner programmes come aboard with us at Apollo. Liosa's passion and drive for excellence in this area help make our YL courses the best they can be!"

Rachel Vallins
Rachel Vallins joins City College Brighton and Hove, UK, as International English and Academic Manager. Rachel has been teaching since 1999 and comes to City College with extensive experience in academic management. Her most recent position was Academic Director at LSI in Hove, where she oversaw all aspects of academic support for students and teachers. Her favourite thing about working in this environment is seeing the students' confidence grow as their English improves. She is also interested teacher development.
