Neil Harvey
Neil Harvey has joined UK College of English (UKCE), the language training operation of UKCBC, as Chief Executive. Neil took up his post in August 2017 with a specific brief to give strategic leadership to the organisation and to take it global, looking at in-country destinations that would work in conjunction with the goals of the parent company. Neil has an extensive career history in international for-profit education, starting as a teacher in 1990. He has worked for Nord Anglia, Aspect, Kaplan, Gateway Education and was, most recently, the Manging Director of The English Studio. "I can't recall a time when our industry didn't face challenges, but we are very well placed to take advantage of the changes ahead," said Neil.

Sebastien Martinez
Sebastien Martinez has started as Global Sales & Business Development Director at Alpadia Language Schools. With 15+ years' experience in the education industry, Sebastien starting interning as a marketing analyst with Intrax Cultural Exchange where he worked his way up to the position of a sales manager for Latin America. He then joined Study Group / Embassy English to look after Europe, the Middle East and Africa markets as Regional Sales Director from 2009-2012. After this, he moved to Global University Systems to explore the world of higher education, as well as executive education, in a Global Sales Director role; before returning to Embassy English in 2015, where he took care of the Americas. "Now, I am joining Alpadia Language Schools promoting languages and destinations that are part of my childhood and origins," said Sebastien.

Alberto Vivekananda de Freitas
Alberto Vivekananda de Freitas has recently joined Focus English/Focus Learning group as Head of Sales and Marketing in Melbourne, Australia. Alberto will also have operational responsibility for the coming Sydney campus to be launched in 2018. Alberto started his career in 2009 with the New Zealand Institute of Education in Auckland, then moved to Sydney in 2013 to take up the position of Regional Marketing Manager for the Australian Institute of Professional Education. In March 2016, Alberto took a similar position with Laureate International and Think Education group, to successfully launch the Torrens University brand in Melbourne. Alberto brings to Focus English/Focus Learning passion, knowledge and worldly experience to drive their brand forward. Slavas has 17 years' experience in international education and will help to create new products and develop the company. "I am more than sure that the mixture of knowledge and experience of two generations, almost 40 years of excellence in education of SUL, and innovative management will help to change the understanding about our great industry and put SUL on the map as a great example of 'doing business'," said Slavas. SUL, a family-run language school, was founded by Christopher and Nicole Retallack in 1980. "I've become one of three shareholders of the company and will be running it with great honours," added Slavas. "It's a new challenge and great responsibility."
