Alistair Platt
Alistair Platt has joined RSL (Rockschool Ltd) as Director of Sales. Based in Southwest London, Alistair takes on responsibility for the strategic direction and overall revenue growth for the RSL contemporary arts awards portfolio globally. Alistair brings to the role extensive leadership experience in international education across marketing, recruitment and sales functions (12+ years); starting with winter sports tuition at Skibike Ltd, to academic pathways with Kaplan International Colleges, and most recently in higher and vocational education with Global University Systems. Academically attentive, creatively stimulating and industry relevant; RSL qualifications support the aspirations of musicians, performers, educators and teaching institutions - wherever they may be.

Frazer Cairns
Dr. Frazer Cairns has joined the International School of Lausanne (ISL) in Switzerland as Director. Previously, he was head of the International School of Geneva, Campus des Nations before moving to Singapore to lead the United World College of South East Asia (Dover). In his new role, Frazer will be responsible for the operations and strategic direction of the approximately 880-student school, working closely with the 12-person board. "It's a tremendous pleasure to return to Switzerland, a country for which we have a strong affinity as a family," he said. "ISL embodies what it is to offer a holistic education - one that prepares young people to play an active part in our complex and constantly changing world."

Eddie O'Loughlin
Eddie O'Loughlin is now Managing Director of English Studio Group, bringing over 17 years of experience in the international education sector to his new role. As founder of ECM College in 2009, he sold the business in 2016 to the Real Experience Group as the second largest full-time EFL provider in Ireland. Now rebranded as English Studio Dublin, Eddie stayed on to manage the business. "We focus on quality, accredited education in scalable, busy city centre locations which allow a very affordable price point," he said. He is now also the MD of English Studio London.

Marianne Vaccaro
Marianne Vaccaro has established ASK International Education, a US high school placement agency for inbound programs. Now in its second year, Marianne has recently started promoting outbound programs for US students and also acts as a business consultant matching investors with schools. Marianne has extensive industry experience having previously worked for St Giles, Sara's Homestay and TLA The Language Academy in the USA.

Chloé Aubry
Chloé Aubry has joined Falmouth University in Cornwall, UK, as European Union Development Manager. She is the latest addition to the brand new sales team at the university. Chloé was previously Business Development Manager at British Study Centres (BSC), a major chain of English Language Schools in the UK, for three years. Responsible for Northwest Europe, as well as Turkey prior to that, she has valuable experience in working with a large network of partners in various countries. Prior to BSC, Chloe's worked in group travel and retail buying, dealing with suppliers from around the world, where she worked for several years, first in Toulouse in France, and for 10 years in London.

David Oancia
David Oancia has been appointed as Manager of International Operations at Northern College in Northern Ontario, Toronto, which also provides curriculum and delivers programmes at nine Chinese universities. David brings to the role extensive experience in international work, including recruitment, brand management, managing pathways, and marketing. This includes eight years at Niagara College where he was a Recruitment Manager for Latin America, Europe, Russia and CIS. "We are pleased to have someone of David's calibre and experience joining the Northern College team," said Audrey Penner, VP Academic and Student Success. "David has shown us to be innovative and energetic, which is exactly what we require to build our international strategy and presence."

Susan Brearey

Susan Brearey has joined Torquay International School (TIS) in the UK as Quality Assurance Manager. She joins the team at TIS from Suzanne Sparrow Plymouth Language School, where she was Vice Principal for 26 years. In her new role, she is tasked with monitoring and developing the school's processes and systems. Giuliana Bonvini has started as Head of Business Development at The English Studio, which has schools in London, UK and Dublin, Ireland. Giuliana has been in the international education industry for nearly a decade. Starting as an international student in 2006, she then went on to work in various student recruitment agencies, including her own business, which she managed for four years before moving to Ireland. This move was followed by a new opportunity in London to manage projects for universities in both the UK and US. She has experienced the world of international education through different positions: as a student, an agent, an education provider, HEI services provider, and finally brought it all together to manage business development at an important time of growth for The English Studio.

Joanna Chung has become Principal at Clubclass language school in London, UK. With eight years' experience in the international education industry, Joanna was previously Principal at a school in Northeast England. Her aims for Clubclass London are to expand their local and international market share through developing new and innovative marketing plans that she has created and successfully undertaken in her previous role. Neil Harvey
Neil Harvey has joined UK College of English (UKCE), the language training operation of UKCBC, as Chief Executive. Neil took up his post in August 2017 with a specific brief to give strategic leadership to the organisation and to take it global, looking at in-country destinations that would work in conjunction with the goals of the parent company. Neil has an extensive career history in international for-profit education, starting as a teacher in 1990. He has worked for Nord Anglia, Aspect, Kaplan, Gateway Education and was, most recently, the Manging Director of The English Studio. "I can't recall a time when our industry didn't face challenges, but we are very well placed to take advantage of the changes ahead," said Neil.
