Liden & Denz celebrates 25th anniversary

Russian language provider Liden & Denz has celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gala dinner at the Olympia Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, the city where its first school was opened.

Liden & Denz invited 120 guests including local dignitaries, industry colleagues and partner agencies for an evening that featured Russian ballet, tenors and a string quartet entertaining the audience with music from Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Borodin.

Walter Denz, Co-Founder of Liden & Denz, reminded the audience that standing still after 25 years was not an option. He paid tribute to Liden & Denz' outstanding teachers and thanked the team of CEO, Julia Voevodina, for delivering extraordinary results, not least in organising the anniversary celebrations.

The evening also featured the official launch of Liden & Denz's newest campus in Irkutsk, Eastern Siberia. Director of the school, Félix Baumann, invited the crowd to visit Irkutsk and the Baikal region. Liden & Denz Irkutsk will start operating next month.

The event coincided with IALC's first roadshow to Russia since 2012 and a fam trip taking 15 agents to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Riga.

Bob Burger, Marketing Director of fellow IALC school Malaca Instituto in Spain, said, "The gala dinner in St Petersburg will go down in the annals of IALC as one of the best occasions, not only related to IALC but throughout the industry."

In a special Industry Faces interview with StudyTravel Magazine earlier this year, Walter revealed the origins of the school and relived the early days.

Liden & Denz is a member of IALC and Eaquals, and is listed in the StudyTravel Super Star Hall of Fame after winning the World Language School category five times.

A gallery of photos of the event will follow on StudyTravel Magazine's Grapevine section of industry events.
